Motorhead Shiraz! - Wine Review by The WINE Authority

Motorhead Shiraz! - Wine Review by The WINE Authority

Motörhead Shiraz : If this works for Lemmy, it’ll definitely work for you. A few glasses of Motörhead Shiraz and the wart-addled, chain-smoking deadbeat dad of heavy metal starts to sound like an angel.

A couple glasses more and even the fugliest, roadworn Motörhead  groupies start to look like supermodels.  And don’t worry, this wine isn’t British like the band, it’s actually Australian.

La Crema Pinot Noir Sonoma Rocks Your World! - Wine Review by The WINE Authority

Wine Rating: Very Good (89)

I discovered this winery about a year ago and I quickly became addicted to their Pinot Noir.  Bottle runs around $20.00 and it's worth every cent.

La Crema was founded in 1979 and quickly established itself as a pioneer for intensely flavored Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the cool Sonoma Coast.

Continuing this tradition, La Crema pursues the ultimate expression of the Russian River Valley, Carneros and Anderson Valley, handcrafting wines of distinctive flavor, which achieve elegance and balance. (Open only during events.)

Wine Type: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Viognier

Facilities: Special Events, Tasting Fee, Tasting Fee Refundable with Purchase, Open only during events - Tasting Room in Healdsburg open daily.

WINE REVIEW - Chalk Hill 2008 "Estate Red" US Red Blend, CA

Chalk Hill 2008 "Estate Red" US Red Blend, CA

Wine Rating: Very Good+ (92)

Price: $70
KWG Score: 90.7
No. Professional Ratings: 4
# of Cases: 3,940

This red blend from Chalk Hill was our third favorite wines at this year's Meritage Madness wine dinner. It opens with a very fragrant black raspberry bouquet with a hint of oak and beet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant with notes of beautifully integrated oak and a hint of black pepper. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins linger slightly. This classy wine is food friendly and went well with our lamb. Enjoy - KenChalk Hill 2008 "Estate Red" US Red Blend, CA.
