This red blend from Chalk Hill was our third favorite wines at this year's Meritage Madness wine dinner. It opens with a very fragrant black raspberry bouquet with a hint of oak and beet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant with notes of beautifully integrated oak and a hint of black pepper.
